 HOT WAX IN CAKES The traditional professional hot waxesHot waxing is the traditional method of hair-removal, still widely used today. These products are generally created using a mixture of natural or modified pine resins that are made elastic by the addition of plastic waxes. The quality of the hot wax depends on these plastic waxes, their characteristics and the percentage in which they are used. These plastic waxes can have a natural origin (beeswax) or a synthetic one (paraffin's). The higher the percentage of beeswax (up to a maximum tolerated amount of 25%) the higher the plasticity, lower application temperature and resistance of the wax to repeated heating.
